Kokua Closet is a ministry partnership between First Baptist Church of Wahiawa and Harvest Family Life Ministries.
FBC Wahiawa provides space to house basic necessities for children and families who are receiving or formerly received services from Child Welfare Services (CWS) also known as the local foster care system. Kokua Closet also supports other families facing hardship.
Necessities such as clothing, shoes, personal hygiene products, baby supplies, school supplies, backpacks, books and toys are provided at no cost to families in need. New and gently used items are provided by generous donors and then given to children and families. Clothing comes in sizes from newborn to young adult with some clothing suitable for parents.
In 2014 FBC Wahiawa and HFLM HI supported over 192 children and over 40 adults.
